HAPPINESS HITS SURF CITY!

It’s not lemonade, it’s LOVE and AID!

Volunteers will be handing out chocolate, hugs and ready to let you know how wonderful you are!

SANTA CRUZ – Marin County resident and part time nanny, Sara Lahey founded the Hunting Happiness Project in early 2010 and is known for inspiring happiness everywhere she goes.

Lahey can be found passing out hugs, high fives and chocolates on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Cooper Street this Sunday from 1:30pm – 5:30pm. Her Love’n Aid stand is a demonstration of random acts of kindness. Gifts have been generously donated by business that have taken the opportunity to express their values and give back to the community. Volunteers from many walks of life have lined up to be a part of Sundays event. Volunteers are on call to help people get the aid they may need: homeless shelters, food banks, employment assistance.

Sara says she only hopes that people “will remember what it feels like and give back to someone else.” She calls her mission “a world happiness movement.”

Lahey recently presented at TEDx on the topic of ‘The Art and Science of Happiness’ at Yale University. She shared the stage with fellow happiness experts including Gretchen Rubin, author of the best selling book The Happiness Project, MIT professor Rosalind Picard, advisor to the King of Bhutan and others.
